The Lodge is situated on the spectacular San Sabastião peninsula in the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary located on the tropical east coast of Africa. The Sanctuary boasts a large bay, tidal sand flats, an estuarine lagoon, sea grass beds, freshwater lakes, mangrove swamps, coral and rocky reefs, idyllic sandy beaches, forested dunes and lush bush.
This Eco Lodge “Dunes de Dovela” is on the doorstep of Inhambane, closed to Zavora between Maputo and Vilanculos in Mozambique, Southern Africa. At the end of a beautiful 12.5 km track, Dunes de Dovela Eco Lodge is settled on top of the secondary dunes that overlook the ocean allowing such stunning views including that of the coastal forests which is visible from the Restaurant & Bar and accommodation chalets.
