We have five female and one male rescued and orphaned African elephants, coming out of situations where man interfered with their natural lives and took them out of the wild for various reasons. Due to lack of commitment and or poor planning they all ended up at the Elephant Sanctuary. The elephant Sanctuary is only a "halfway house" for these elephants until such time that they are old enough to be released back into a wilderness area.
