Summary of your Origins Adventure Fully inclusive 8 night package:

Day 1:  Overnight in the Heart Cradle of Humankind, Gauteng

Arrive in Johannesburg at approximately 8h30. You will be met on arrival by our representatives and welcomed to South Africa! We depart for our transfer to the unique 5 Star Boutique Hotel and an architectural masterpiece, creating a cave like structure. 

Check in for breakfast as you take in the refreshing and tranquil views of this important landmark region as you prepare for day ahead.

Depart for the Maropeng Museum, enjoy the evolutionary facilities and move onto the Sterkfontein Caves a few kilometers away for an informative view on ancestry during your first morning.

The highlight of the day, where actual explorations found in the depths of the earth are are explained and displayed with the professionals whom have discovered these fascinating finds.

We end the day with a visit to a nearby cultural village for an evening of interactive education and entertainment, along with superb atmosphere over a traditional african dinner.

Overnight for the second evening in one the most renowned Heritage Sites at the same boutique Hotel.

Day 2: Overnight in the heart Cradle of Humankind

Breakfast at the hotel, overlooking the small dam and grasslands area from the terrace. We head out for another day of interaction, today between man and beast.

Firstly we visit the Lion Park, here you will come in close contact with Giraffe, Lion cubs and onto the Crocodiles. We depart and travel the distance to reach our destination for lunch, overlooking the boma where you will momentarily get to walk hand in trunk with magnificent Pachyderms, the largest living land mammal - the elephant.

Return to the hotel and afford the opportunity to freshen up and relax before a sensational 5 course dinner at the Joburg`s most renowned Gourmet Restaurants.

Day 3 - Overnight in a Game Reserve nestled at the foothills of the malaria free Waterberg Mountains,  Lephalale

Terrace breakfast in the heart of The Cradle at your Hotel. All the while you are accompanied by your guide who shares this hidden masterpiece with you.

Depart after breakfast as we travel north toward Lephelale. (Approximately a 4 hour drive). Arrival at this Four Star Safari lodge, where many species of game frequent the waterhole in front of the Lodge. You will be welcomed to this old Colonial Style, previous farm building, where you can expect a warm welcome with drinks and a lip smacking lunch waiting.

Check in to your room and prepare to enjoy this privileged schooling interaction along with dinner in the company of authentic Bushman, a taste of their traditional storytelling – a unique form of entertainment.

Day 4 -  Overnight in a Game Reserve nestled at the foothills of the malaria free Waterberg Mountains, Lephalale

Early morning wake up call and 05h30 depart for our transfer to experience and educate around the traditions of the local people. This is created by a Morning Ga-bobidi Walking Safari, where we learn about the ancient trade routes and interesting pots which have been created in and around the area over 600 years ago.

At approximately 11h00 we return to the Ga-Bobidi base for a delicious breakfast. Returning to the lodge for some time to unwind and relax, enjoy a swim and the watering hole a few metres away, as the chance of game drinking reveals itself during your Authentic African Journey! Lunch snacks will be served and time for an afternoon siesta if you so wish!

High Tea is served at 16h00, before we set out for a Rhino Walking Safari where you will learn about one of the illustrious big 5 of Africa, in an experience by foot.

A traditional bush dinner will be prepared after sunset and your own special story telling sessions await you on discussing the sightings and memories of the afternoon.

Day 5 - Overnight in a tranquil bush lodge in Mapesu Private Nature Reserve 

Breakfast on the pool deck at 7 am, before check out and departure to our next stop, at a graded 4 Star thatched lodge in close proximity to the Mapungubwe National Park a SA heritage sight, situated in Limpopo.
Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, and an interactive view of the San Rock Art in the afternoon, guided - whilst the wonderful insights of the history of this area is shared with you.

Dinner is prepared in the Boma and served around the roaring fire centerpiece of this tranquil bush retreat.

Day 6 - Overnight at an authentic bush lodge in the Timbavati Game Reserve

Early morning rise and tour of Mapungubwe Hill inside Mapungubwe National Park. Here you will see the Limpopo River, followed by a view of the confluence of the Shashe River and Limpopo River. Also where Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa meet!

Return back to the lodge for Brunch before transferring to a private game reserve for a safari experience.

On arrival time to freshen up and check into your room, before meeting to embark on viewing this Fair Trade affiliated African Safari Destination of choice. Followed by a sunset game drive and an opportunity to look out for the BIG 5!

Day 7 - Second Overnight in the BIG 5 Timbavati Game Reserve

A typical day in this BIG 5 Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, offers sunrise and sunset game drives in open safari vehicles and award winning cuisine, taking you on a gastronomic tour of African styled food.

Day 8 -  Third Overnight Safari Experience in the Timbavati 

Another opportunity to experience a day in the Greater Kruger Park Veld!
Overnight one last time as your Safari Sojourn nears its end and take up the last opportunity of a Game Walk, Lazing around the Pool or simply listen to the natural sounds of the bush.

Day 9 - Return Johannesburg

After an early morning game drive with another hearty breakfast and we depart for Johannesburg for you’re onward connections and further African Journeys.

Farewell Mama Africa - Miriam Makeba...


Miriam Makeba, Africa`s most celebrated singer, and the first black African woman to win a Grammy Award, has died. Makeba`s business affairs manager Graham Gilfillan confirmed yesterday morning that the legendary singer died of a heart attack in the early hours of yesterday morning near the southern Italian town of Caserta after a performance. According to Gilfillan, Makeba was with her grandson who called him yesterday morning to inform him of the singer`s death. Makeba, 76, died overnight after taking part in a concert for Roberto Saviano, a writer threatened with death by the Mafia, the Ansa news agency said.
