A magical day in the bush, a mini "Out of Africa" experience to share with your sweetheart!

This Game Lodge & Game Reserve sits within the famous Magalies Meander and Crocodile Ramble region and adjacent to the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site. A significant number of attractions, activities, accommodation and other offerings are therefore available in the area.

The Lodge also offers a day visitors centre, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the activity offering such as big 5 game drives departing 15h30 ( Lions are kept in an enclosed area in the reserve) as well as the 2 resident elephants that are part of the Elephants for Africa Forever ("EFAF") and put into their licensed training program. Training is covered by permits and involves strict protocols covering all areas from safety to the well being of the elephants. Various programmes are offered and we can include the 10h30 Touch and feed programme in to your safari day.

Fine cuisine can be enjoyed at the main restaurant for lunch that boasts wooden decks overlooking this pristine wilderness malaria free reserve with its abundant flora and fauna.

Important Risk Information for Safari  Activities:

Please note their are certain risks that apply when participating any of the mentioned activities.

An adventure activity which poses certain risks to your physical health and safety. Elephant encounters are facilitated by guides and a level of discipline and respect should be practised while in the company of these domesticated BUT wild animals. Weight, health and age restrictions are applicable. Elephant back rides take place around 2 metres above ground and requires a certain level of physical strength to "hold on" safely.

This is an adventure "high adrenalin" sport which poses certain risks to your physical health and safety. Activities take place at High Altitudes and under instruction by a leader whom requires your adherence. Age, health and weight restrictions apply.

It is important that individuals are in a healthy and altitude fit state, to avoid uneccesary complications during excursions. Locations where these activities apply are contained in indigenious environments and risks posed by co-existing species exist ie: spiders, snakes, birds etc. 

A sound & calm state of mind is key in any emergency situation - panic should be avoided at all costs. Please ensure waste is recycled where possible and alternatives disposed of in allocated BINS!

Farewell Mama Africa - Miriam Makeba...


Miriam Makeba, Africa`s most celebrated singer, and the first black African woman to win a Grammy Award, has died. Makeba`s business affairs manager Graham Gilfillan confirmed yesterday morning that the legendary singer died of a heart attack in the early hours of yesterday morning near the southern Italian town of Caserta after a performance. According to Gilfillan, Makeba was with her grandson who called him yesterday morning to inform him of the singer`s death. Makeba, 76, died overnight after taking part in a concert for Roberto Saviano, a writer threatened with death by the Mafia, the Ansa news agency said.
