Kitara Camp, located on the banks of the Klaserie River in the Klaserie Reserve sleeps 12 guests in beautifully decorated stone thatched chalets or luxurious huts. The central lodge with lounge, bar, pool, boma and viewing deck overlooks the flowing Klaserie River of South Africa. The riverine vegetation, the sound of water running through the reeds in front of the camp and the views up and down stream which seem to envelop the atmosphere of this safari camp and makes for a truly relaxing bushveld destination.

The Klaserie Camps are part of a exclusivly owned wildlife sanctuary `The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve` which is also a part of the Greater Kruger National Park - this amazing reserve travellers from around the world come to see.

The reserve lies to the west of the Timbavati Reserve covering 60 000 ha on either side of the Klaserie River. The private nature of this exclusive safari wilderness acts as a sanctuary for the soul, enabling one to enbrace the African bushveld safari in ones own time. Take in the sounds, sights and smells that make the African bushveld such a unique bush experience. A trip through the reserve upon arrival in the Klaserie Reserve, is the perfect way to enjoy a relaxing bumble through the bush before approaching the Klaserie Camps HeadQuarters for a welcoming reception .

You will then be transferred in the new game drive vehicle , giving you a taste of what is to come, as we make out way to Kitara Camp contained within the Klaserie Reserve .

Kitara Lodge is a five star game lodge situated on the banks of the Klaserie River, a number of animals have been seen and left their marks where they have moved through the main lodge area. There is even a story of the Elephant who decided a trip through the camp, right past the boma and under the tree (look out for the aerial marks still left behind on the tree at the bar) and onto the manicured lawns in the reception area and past the rest of the rooms,back into the bush after he had his fill and respect accomplished.

Offering six luxury air-conditioned chalets or rooms, four post beds and couches on which to relax in the heat of the day. A dressing area with mirror, dressing table and chair as well as mosquito screening over the beds with views over the Klaserie River make this lodge a dream come true!
