Situated in the beautiful Waterberg Biosphere in Limpopo, a malaria-free area and home to a large variety of game, Kololo is a perfect safari destination. Visit neighbouring reserves and view the Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo - or enjoy a sneak preview over the fence, from the comfort of your chalet at Kololo.
The Waterberg is a beautiful nature area with a wide variety of landscapes and wildlife. The area has been declared a biosphere reserve by the UNESCO. Kololo Game Reserve is a member of the "Waterberg Biosphere" project, which means that the reserve must meet strict requirements in order to protect nature. These requirements include that one ensures that the original state of the park is maintained, that there are economic and ecological measures for protecting nature, and that work is being done to combat local poverty in which education plays an important role.
Accommodation features various upmarket villas and chalets, positioned in the pristine bushveld so privacy and relaxation is guaranteed. Accommodation is categorised into Economy,Standard,Superior and Deluxe as well as tented. With this reserve being only 3 hours from Johannesburg makes it an accesible weekend bush break and proves very popular!
Facilities on site at Kololo include the Restaurant providing an opportunity for guests to unwind with a drink at the bar or with a book in front of the fire. This is also a great venue for private functions and is also disabled friendly and can seat up to 90 guests offering moutwatering meals such as Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in server from the a la Carte Menu prepared by our gourmet chef.
The (heated) swimming pool is located in front of the restaurant, surrounded by a wooden terrace with sun beds and parasols. Drinks and snacks can be ordered from the restaurant. The swimming pool is available at no charge to all guests.
Tholo, our conference venue, seats 90 delegates banqueting style, 130 delegates schoolroom style and 160 cinema style. The conference rate includes a white-board, notepads and pens, mints, cordials, coffee and tea. A beamer, extra whiteboard, dance floor and sound system, as well as any requisite additional conference equipment, chair covers and table cloths are available for hire. The Venue offer wireless internet.
To keep Kololo as green as possible no cars are allowed to drive around or park at the chalets and villas. Cars need to be parked at the central parking area. Our staff will gladly assist you with your luggage.

Rates valid until 31 October 2012
Economy accommodation & Tented: R950 per persons sharing per night
Standard accommodation: R1400 per person sharing per night
Superior accommodation: R1500 per person sharing per night
Deluxe accommodation: R1700 per person person sharing per night.
Rates include:
1.Accommodation, water electricity, bed linen, towels, daily making of beds and cleaning services.
2.Daily breakfast and dinner served at the restaurant,(when staying in the tented camp meals will be served in the local boma).
3.Self catering facilities: oven, micro-wave oven, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, cutlery, fridge.
4.Use of the swimming pool (not for the tented camp), game viewing hiking trails and mountain bikes.
5.Kololo Game Drive, dedicated Ranger guide available for walks and information on wildlife.
Rates exclude:
1.All drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and snacks.
2.Gratuities to the local staff, barman and cooks.
3.Use of washing machines and dryer for laundry.
4.Transfer fees from Johannesburg International airport by air or bus to and from Kololo.
5.Excursions outside Kololo, such as Big 5 Welgevonden Game Drive (R 450,- pp) can be booked and paid at the lodge.
6.Self catering: Kololo Game Drives and the use of mountain bikes are not included.
