Thornybush Game Reserve`s exclusive Main Lodge with stylish air-conditioned suites and extensive living areas overlooks the seasonal Monwana River. From within the suites, each with full en-suite facilities, outdoor shower and private decks, sweeping vistas can be enjoyed over the savannah and ever active water hole.
Between exciting safaris where one can be educated about the wonderful sights you experience, take a moment to browse in the intimate library and learn even more about the surroundings, or simply relax at the pool with your favourite cocktail as you bask in Africa`s glorious sunshine.
Main Lodge - luxury/family suites, both of which are significantly larger and feature private plunge pools. Thornybush Main Lodge welcomes children of all ages. A special children`s programme is prepared for your siblings during their stay.

Amani Spa`s, operators of the Thornybush Game Lodge Spa Centre, have just completed the construction and renovation of existing Spa facilities at this flagship five star game lodge. The new centre, almost three times the size of the previous operation and with two full-time therapists, will offer a full range of treatments for Thornybush Game Lodge guests, as well as satellite treatments to our guests at Chapungu and the group`s self catering camp, Nkelenga, both camps located a short distance from Thornybush Game Lodge.
The 18 Luxury Suites consist of the following:
Each Luxury Suite has an en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers and private deck with a view of the seasonal Monwana River course or riverine thicket and have been carefully designed and spaced to provide privacy.
The 2 Luxury /Family Suites consist of the following:
Each Family Suite is larger than the Luxury Suites with lounge area and sleeper couch; that converts to a double bed to accommodate children. These suites also have a larger private deck, each with its own plunge pool. Maximum capacity 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12 years or 3 adults.

- Children are located to specific rangers who enjoy interaction with younger guests
- They receive a complimentary children`s pack on arrival, which keeps them entertained and occupied during their stay.
- Snack packs are sent on game drives
- Drives and activities can be tailormade to suite childrens interest and attentions spans
- Walks are designed to ensure that their safety is taken into account and that they experience activities they might not normally do in the cities.
- Meal requirements and venues are provided if required by parents
- Babysitters and children minders are available

Rates
Rates for 2011-2012:
R4852-00 per person sharing per night valid from January to December 2012.Single R7278-00 per single occupancy per night.
Children 6-11 Years - R2663 per child sharing with adults
Family suites are charges at R5325-00 per adult per night. Children 6-11 Years - R2663 per child sharing with adults and Children 2-5 Years - R1332 per child sharing with adults.
Rates includes:
- Accommodation in luxury rooms
- All meals, teas, coffees and snacks
- Dawn and Dusk safaris in open Land Rovers and Bushveld Walks
- Sundowner drinks on game drives
Rate excludes:
- Airport transfers except where chartered flights land at Thornybush Game Lodge

- Hoedspruit airport to Thornybush Game Reserve - R150 per person one way
