Tucked in the expanse of the malaria-free Pilanesbeg National Park, Bakubung or the "place of the hippo" provides guests the peace and tranquility of a true bush experience coupled with the luxury and service you`ve come to expect from a bush lodge.

The lodge comprised of 76 hotel rooms, including one wheelchair accesible room. Bakubung provides 4 star accommodation in typical south african style accommodation units, each with individual en-suite bathrooms as well as air-conditioning and private views of the breathtaking scenery. The lodge is concealed in the rich expanses of the Pilanesberg National Park in a beautifully tranquil setting. Here,you can enjoy a number of activities including bush walks, boma dinners or barbeques, the south african version is called "braai". The “Big Five” game viewing experienced in the historical Pilanesberg Reserve and for the children, an adventure playground.
