Offering luxury affordable accommodation and superb traditional and international cuisine, excellent bird and game viewing and the warmth and charm of true South African hospitality, you may not need more than that!!

Located 40 minutes from the world famous Sun City, making your stay at Mziki Safari Lodge an ideal location to explore the surrounds in the North West Province, combing safari, adventure and even a bit of glitz!

Accommodation types on offer include 4 rooms in the main lodge building.  The two outer rooms are large king bedded rooms with on-suite bathrooms (shower and bath).  The inner two rooms are twin bedded rooms with en-suite bathrooms (shower only).  These room face out onto a sparkling swimming pool, overlooking a waterhole where game come to drink regularly.

There is also chalet type accommodation comprising of 3 thatched twin or king-size bedded stand alone chalets each with a lounge, veranda and en-suite bathroom (shower & bath), situated in a semicircle in our lush indigenous garden.  Each chalet has a sleeper couch which can accommodate maximum 2 children under 12 years of age.

To compliment these chalets are also the 2 thatched twin or king-size bedded stand alone rondavels each with a lounge, veranda and en-suite bathroom (shower only), situated in a semicircle in our lush indigenous garden.

When dining at Mkizi Game Lodge you can rest assured only the freshest and finest locally sourced products are used in the preparation of all of meals. The chefs offer an exquisite blend of local and international cuisine to set your taste buds alight.

In traditional safari style the day begins with a small, early morning snack of fresh fruit, yoghurts, assorted cereals, freshly baked muffins and rusks along with percolated coffee and a variety of teas.
Return from the morning game drive to a scrumptious "Brunch" (Breakfast and Lunch combined) served under the Karee-trees in the garden. Bacon and eggs, along with sausages, tomato and ´Mziki Style´ fried potatoes accompanied by toast and fresh fruit juice with tea and coffee. For the hungry we serve a light lunch such as toasted sandwiches, lasagne or chicken wraps with fresh garden salad and various accompanying starches. Dinners at Mziki are served in the Selous boma by a roaring fire or in our Bush boma beneath the stars.  A delicious 3 course meal awaits the hungry explorer.

The activities offered contibute to the the unique safari experience whilst you are accompanied by the qualified game rangers on Game Drives or Bush walks,allowing you to experience a truely authentic journey. The informative Game-Drive takes place in an open safari vehicle while you witness the wonders of the African bush or revel in the excitement of seeing Africa in a different "light" and take a night drive through the reserve. A unique activity offered is the Barge Cruise onboard the "Mama Hippo" a 21 ft barge which sets out along the Hex river into the Vaalkop dam. Watch game come to quench their thirst and a spectacular array of waterfowl go about their daily business. Kick back, relax and enjoy a sun downer or two! (Barge cruise is water level dependent. Please inquire about water levels)

After your "safari expedition" , take a turn with a refreshing splash in the swimming on a hot summer day.

Mziki incorporates 8km of the Hex river and offers an exciting challenge to both Fly and Bait anglers. Try your luck or skill in catching Yellow fish, Blue and Red Curper, Carp and Barbel.

This destination is perfect for small conferences of up to 14 delegates which provides privacy and exclusivity which can be tailormade to suite your preferences. The air-conditioned conference room offers 8 delegates boardroom-style seating and comfortably accommodates 14 in a horse-shoe setup. Equipment such as TV, DVD, White board, Overhead/Data Projector and Screen, Flip chart as well as pens and pads are standard and inclusive. (Please bring own Laptops). The Lodge offers numerous breakaway areas both in and outdoors as well as tea and coffee stations for your convenience. Team or individual activities such as Archery and Air rifle shooting offer the delegates a fun break.

For the more adventurous we offer outdoor conferencing/ brainstorming aboard our "Mama Hippo" barge with spectacular birding on the Vaalkopdam. (Seasonal, please inquire about water levels!!)  Flip chart, pens and pads provided.

Romantic turndowns and private Lodge Garden dinners for Honeymoon, Anniversaries or special occasions.

Kids 4 and under sharing with (2) parents are FREE of charge

Kids 12 and under sharing with (2) parents are FREE for accommodation and only pay for meals at R 250.00

Rate includes:

Accommodation as specified, Full breakfast, Light lunch, Dinner and two activities.
