News: Royal Jozini Big 6 celebrates lodge opening

Royal Jozini Big 6 recently celebrated the completion of the first privately owned lodge, owned by Gareth and Tracy Jones.

“It has been really exciting to welcome the first residents of Royal Jozini Big 6 to our unique piece of paradise,” said Alistair Brown, Marketing Manager for Royal Jozini Big 6.

The lodge has four bedrooms – three in the main lodge and one in a separate cottage. The cottage’s en-suite bathroom also has an outside shower. Other features include an open-plan living area, a plunge pool and views of the Lubombo Mountains and Lake Jozini.

Royal Jozini Big 6 is a private Big Five game reserve and resort estate on the shores of Lake Jozini and will offer privately owned lodges, a hotel and casino complex, 18-hole golf course, waterfront restaurants and a boating marina, essentially creating an independent community for holiday-makers and Royal Jozini residents.

It’s called the ‘Big 6’ because in addition to the Big Five being released on to the reserve, Lake Jozini is the southernmost place in Africa where tiger fish occur naturally.
